Fun Activities that You Can Do with the Kids

You Wanna Keep Them Entertained Right?

If you have kids then you know how important it is for you to keep them entertained. You will also know how hard this can be when the weekend comes along, because when money is low, you may feel very limited in terms of things to do. Thankfully, there are things that you can do about this and you can get plenty of ideas below.

Create a Time Capsule

This is a great activity to do with the kids and you can easily celebrate everything that your family has done together as well. When you make a time capsule, you can bury it in your garden or you can easily store it in your home. If you do plan on burying it in your garden, you have to make sure that the box you use is completely watertight. The main reason for this is because when it rains, the ground will absorb the moisture and this can easily get into your time capsule if you are not careful. You and your family can even record tapes as well, so that you can pass them down through your future generations.

Plant Something

Gardening is a fantastic way for you to pass the time and it is a hobby that really pays off as well. you can easily plant things like cherry tomatoes, bush beans, zucchini and more. You can get the kids involved by getting them to help you and you can also get them to dig holes for the seeds as well. The best thing about this is that the kids can be in the garden every week taking care of their produce and when the time does come for you to pick them, it’s super rewarding as well.

Find a Family Game

If you want to get the whole family together then games are a brilliant way for you to do this. Bike games are great because you can try and beat each other’s high score and you can also really take the time to find a game that you can all enjoy as well. It even helps to get a couple of friends over at this point so that everyone can sit and have fun, not to mention that you can even work with your kids to try and help them to prepare some snacks and other fun treats.

Get Cooking

If you want your kids to really learn a great skill or if you want them to really develop then one thing that you can do is teach them how to cook. You can start out by passing down a family recipe or you can even try and teach them how to make bread as well. If your kids are a little too young to get in the kitchen then you can make things out of playdough or even plasticine. This is a fantastic way for you to really show them how to develop their creative skills and you’d be surprised at how easy it is for you to keep them entertained for hours by doing this.
