Boss Mama Magic: Pekablu’s Affordable Children’s Clothing

This week, I was so excited to interview Nikki Geter, the visionary and owner of the online children’s boutique, Pekablu. She is a single mom to two energetic and beautiful children ages 5 and 7.

Pekablu launched in October of this year and although they are young, they have managed to increase their following by 80% in less than a month. I’m in awe because it legit took me a year to achieve that kind of loyalty. But, that does not surprise me one bit. Nikki is passionate about helping families find clothing for their children that are both affordable and of great quality.

The inspiration behind selling children’s clothing

“As a single mom doing it on my own, affordability and quality is what I look for when I am purchasing clothes for my own children and that is something that I wanted to provide.”

Nikki loves fashion and anything that has to do with children’s fashion. Her favorite part of her job is choosing the clothing pieces that Pekablu features in their store and performing research to make sure they are always offering what their customers want and need. She is excited about the development of the brand and I don’t know if this is exclusive or not, but…they are also considering adding toys to the lineup of amazing items they already sell.

The story behind the name Pekablu

“For a long time, I’ve always wanted to open a children’s store. But, with having children and a busy schedule, I’ve never had the chance. For me, the name Pekablu is a fun play on the game that all moms play with their small kids, Peek-A-Boo. Instead of using Peek-A-Boo, I wanted to switch up the name a little bit so that’s how we came up with Pekablu.”
