Once you have had a clear out there might not be any need for that large chest of drawers in your bedroom. Sell the stuff you aren’t going to use and pocket that money as soon as you can.

You might think it is possible to earn an income from blogging, but you would be mistaken. If it is something you are truly passionate about and there is a gap in the market for a blog on your niche topic, then you might just be onto a smart side hustle. Think about a subject that you know a lot about and you have a lot of knowledge on. Would people like to hear you talk about topical issues on this theme? Do you have enough time to write innovative and catchy content for your target audience? If so, then starting a blog might just be your ticket to financial freedom. You can do it at home, when you’re on vacation or whilst you’re on your way to work. Blogging is a hugely flexible job and you can tailor it to your lifestyle. Explore your options and think about the money you could earn from it.

If you’re a business minded kind of person, but blogging isn’t quite the right avenue for you, then you might want to think about starting up your own small business from home. You could start up a coaching business, provide a service or even sell homemade items if you’re creative! There are a tonne of business opportunities out there with your name on, so play to your strengths. Team up with your partner and do something that you both really enjoy. Not only will it be a money making business, but it will also be an enjoyable activity for you to take part in together.

You could be throwing away money within your home every single day without even realizing it. Make sure your home is full insulated and you don’t allow drafts to enter from unsealed windows and doors. Ideas like this will cut your heating bills in half, so you will have much more disposable income to use each month. Turn off your electrical items at the end of each day and research ways to save water around your home. Without even making a huge alteration to your daily life you could be saving a tonne of money.
You don’t have to make any huge, dramatic changes to your life in order to make the extra income you have always desired. All it takes is a little bit of time and effort to discover what your business brain and home has to offer. Try out all of these methods over the course of the next few months; see which one speaks to you the most and makes most sense for your personal situation.
