BEST NETFLIX HOLIDAY MOVIES of 2018

It’s the last month of the year. A time where everyone is jolly and excited about the presents that will be given on Christmas day. Well, only if you are a kid. Us adults, mask our excitement with the phrase “Christmas is not all about receiving.” While that statement is true, it is also true that if you don’t get me something we are going to have some real problems. Chill, I’m just kidding.

Well, while you are busy thinking about how to make Christmas special for other people, let me remind you that it is important for you take a moment to celebrate you. This holiday season, I am doing just that. You can find me spending my time intentionally relaxing. Some may even call it lazy. And, I am watching the best Netflix holiday movies of 2018 in these last few weeks. Next year, I’ll go back to Hallmark, but I needed a little variation this year.

And…I am going to do it big this year.

Some of the links included in this post are affiliate links, meaning I will earn a commission if you click through and make a purchase. You are not charged any fees to do this, I just get credit for referring you. To be honest, all products can be bought in the store. However, I like to buy online because with Free Shipping, I save both money and time. Cheers to our sanity this year during holiday shopping!

My two favorite snacks during the movie are buttery popcorn and ice cream + cake. No….I don’t eat them both at the same time. The movie kind of dictates which I will eat, but that’s not to say I won’t.

So, I bought a Firestick and a projector and converted our sitting room into my personal movie room. I know…that sounds really exciting right?! But, it’s actually a heck of a lot cheaper than buying one of those new smart TVs.  And, you get 170 inches of your favorite movies all to yourself. And, if you have a neutral colored wall… you don’t even need a screen. It’s lovely might I add!

I’ll admit, I have not always showed my loving side this year. So, I was on the search for the best holiday movies that were warm and loving and would hopefully help me kinder my loving spirit before Christmas. Comedy mixed with romantics is just what the soul needs. If you need a few suggestions on how to spend your time with Netflix this season, then I urge you to continue reading.

Best Netflix Holiday Movies of 2018 | It is funny, it is sweet, and it is romantic. What’s funny is that movies will often times have the same plot but they change one thing… and it still be good.

The Princess Switch

This movie reminds of the classics that I might find on Hallmark. In fact, it is my FAVORITE movie on this list. It is funny, it is sweet, and it is romantic. What’s funny is that many movies will often times have the same plot but then they change that one thing… and then you are hooked into what will be a great movie.

Will 2 Love

The comedy in this romantic is a little cheesy, but it is nonetheless probably one of my top 2 favorites on the list as a romantic. The story line involves a bachelor who must tie the knot before his grandfather passes of a terminal illness in order to receive an inheritance. It is pretty funny the efforts that they put into finding the right wife for this man. Of course, the sweetest love is right in front of his face the entire time. This is a sweet and romantic movie story!

Christmas Wedding Planner

So this movie ties in 2nd place in my list of favorites. A young lady focused on planning the perfect wedding for her best friend/cousin wins the heart of a fine young man. Ya’ll he really was fine (I still love my husband though)! It was dreamy to watch their relationship evolve and their friendship turn into a lifelong partnership. Keep your tissues near for this one.

I love this movie because it brings back into perspective that Christmas is about giving more than receiving.

Christmas Inheritance

I love this movie because it brings back into perspective that Christmas is about giving more than it is about receiving. Of course, there is a relationship that emerges from it, but I really like the meaning behind this movie. It is so rewarding to help others in their time of need.

What a coincidence? Receiving a gift that somehow gifts you with knowledge of how your future will unfold.

The Holiday Calendar

What a coincidence? Receiving a gift that somehow gifts you with knowledge of how your future will unfold. That describes the lucky young lady in this movie. As long as that calendar includes a love life…then I want it!

It’s a tradition in my family to binge watch all the Christmas movies we can. Whether it’ Hallmark, Netflix, or something random we found while flipping through channels, we all have a wonderful time together.

But Netflix is our favorite, especially since the only time we watch cable is on vacation. I LOVE all these movies, and I’m so happy that Netflix has so many new selections!
