Embrace Your Gifts and Believe in Yourself

Entrepreneurs Trust their Gift

Did you know that 361,000 babies are born each day? Think about it. Every single day the world is blessed with 361,000 unique talents, passions, and gifts. Are you embracing your gift or do you live in a world where living paycheck to paycheck is worth more than sharing your gifts and enjoying life to the fullest? I too had this same outlook on life, but now I have a greater appreciation for my gifts and I am ready to share them with the world. We all have a divine mission, but  it is up to us to tune in and fulfill it. To start off the New Year, we want to share how to embrace your gifts, and create the life you have always dreamed!

1. Hobbies Do Make Money:

This word is undervalued in that people underestimate the potential of things you do for fun. What if you could somehow translate your thing into a service or product? Your craft, gift, and skill could be much needed innovation.

This world is changing every day and your imprint can be what drives the change in the future. If you are an artist, but your drawings remain in your sketch book, you may miss out on many opportunities Let me tell you, that there are some people sharing their gifts and making $200+/hr easy. If you bake, you could be the next CEO of a bakery or the author of a recipe book. What I am trying to say is, that it is okay for you to step outside the box and profit off something you enjoy doing in your spare time. You never know, it could turn into something bigger.

2. Many Businesses are Never Born Because of Fear:

There are many reasons for why people choose not to pursue their dreams of entrepreneurship. However, the top reason remains to be fear. Fear of not achieving success or not receiving support. I read a blog the other day in which the author noted that when she first started blogging, she was afraid to share her work with her personal circle in fear of what they might think of her. I am not that blogger, but I can admit that I was also shy for the same reason. Some people fear the idea of an inconsistent paycheck. For these reasons and more, many great potential entrepreneurs never start their journey.

There is nothing wrong with fear that pushes you to your victory. The enemy is the fear that pulls you back. Click To Tweet

When so many cognitive obstacles are pushing against you, it becomes hard to find importance in your gift. As a result, one may choose not to invest the time defining and practicing their craft. There is nothing wrong with fear that pushes you to your victory. The enemy is the fear that pulls you back.  There is a popular quote on many home décor items that states, “Dance as if no one is watching.” Your confidence is the first tool to defeating the fear that pulls you back. In these situations, it’s okay to be selfish and embrace your gift for your own happiness. Whatever you do, do not limit yourself, take risks, and be okay with being uncomfortable.

3. Embrace Your Gifts and Make it Count:

Believe in what you do and know why you do it. If you are serious about your gift you will work hard to make sure it is displayed at its best. My husband always tells me, “don’t be half stepping” to let me know that I need to put forth my best efforts.

As you prepare to share your gifts with the world, it is important to remember that YOU will be your biggest cheerleader. And then one day, you will create a tribe of supporters who also find your gift to be valuable. Do not be afraid to get out there and meet others in your niche. Create your own board of supporters. These can be people who have a similar gift as you, and can provide feedback and support when needed. Most importantly, find comfort in sharing your gift with others.

Embrace Your Gifts with Values

As I prepare to close, I want to ask you about the quality of life that you desire. Are you okay where you are now? Are you living up to your potential? If not, are you ready to make a change? I hope that you are but if not, I understand that it may take some time to process the changes that you need to go through. A change that I cannot promise will be easy but one that will have a beautiful and rewarding end. In 2018, I wish you the very best and I hope that you attain and exceed all of your goals.

Best,

Amandela H.

  6. Beautiful! So well-said. My favorite is #1, I think in part because I’ve discovered that over the years. I have talents that people like and need and want, so why not put them out there and get paid to do something that God blessed me with?! Great thoughts here. #wanderingwednesday

  7. What an inspiring blog post. Thanks for that.
I also follow my dream and have my own business from what used to be a hobby. I love helping other people with my products and blog to make their lives better. It IS rewarding like you said. And it is a shame when someone is not sharing their gift with the world out of fear.
So thank you for your words 🙂

  8. Yes, yes, and YES! I am finally doing exactly what I am passionate about and loving every minute!

    • Amandela

That’s awesome! Yes, I am getting there. I keep verbally affirming that one day I will be a stay at home business mama. I just gotta stay focused! 🙂

  9. Fear, that’s a big one. I remember a point in my life where I was paralyzed by fear and what others would think, but then I finally got to a space where it only mattered what I thought about me and that those who rocked with me– it was cool– those who didn’t– that was cool too. It was only when I valued my opinion of myself more than anyone else’s that my life began to shift!

  10. Such an inspirational post! Unfortunately stepping out of your comfort zone is never easy, especially when you have kids that depend on you financially but sometimes risks will bring greater rewards than a simple job!

    • Amandela

Yeah, I know what you mean. I quit my job and things were going well until they went bad. I am back on track now, but its hard. However, being able to spend more time with my daughter during the day has made it all worth it. But, I am still grinding hard. 🙂

I really enjoyed this and found it motivating/encouraging! I realize that right now I’m in a season with sparse time for my hobbies and using my gifts, but there are still ways to make it happen and that’s what I’m trying to do, even in small quantities, with my writing. <3

  12. Great post! I am trying to take these to heart! It is so hard to follow your dreams sometimes
